Spring Blossom Nail Art

Hello Everyone

Spring is one of my favourite seasons, flowers
start to bloom and it is still light when we wake
up and go home. A blossom tree has started to
bloom in my garden so I have used it as inspiration for my next nail art tutorial.

All you need is light blue, pink, white and black nail polish and a small dotting tool. - If you do not own a dotting tool you could use a toothpick or the tip of a pen.

It is very easy to do and if you do decide to have a go add @queenrock75 when you upload your pictures on instagram and I will share your re creations.

1. First apply a clear basecoat to protect your nails then add a coat of light blue nail varnish.
2. Using a small dotting tool (or toothpick) draw the branches in black nail varnish, start off with one thick branch and then add smaller branches.
3. Add pink dots (using a dotting tool) along the branches, if you have space add some dots at the bottom of your nail, this is the blossoms falling off the tree.
4. Finally add some white dots and finish off with a top coat to seal your design.

Frozen Nail Art

This nail art tutorial is inspired by the Disney film Frozen. It is one of my favourite films and this is my favourite nail art design. I hope you decide to try out this manicure yourself and if you have any questions or suggestions please leave a comment below.

For this manicure I decided to paint the words "let it go" from the main song in the film and on the other hand  a  little picture of Olaf.

Olaf Tutorial

1. After applying a base coat, paint your nail light blue.
2. Once the polish is dry paint one coat with glitter nail varnish.
3. Paint one white thick line in the middle of your nail, moving to the sides to form the head shape.
4,5,6. Using a large dotting tool paint two black dots, once dry paint two white dots and using a smaller dotting tool paint two black dots to finish the eyes.
7. To paint the carrot nose just use a dotting tool dipped in orange nail varnish.
8. Paint a black semi circle for the mouth, I used a small brush but you can also use a toothpick.
9. Finally paint a small white thick line on top of the semi circle to make the teeth and three small black lines on top of the head for hair. Once dry apply a top coat to seal your design.

Snowflake Tutorial

Of course you have to have snowflakes in Frozen nail art and they are really simple to paint. For my manicure I decided to use a nail art pen but a tooth pick can be just as effective.

Like before paint your nails light blue and add glitter nail varnish. Using a tooth pick paint three lines like a star shape, then add smaller lines to form the snowflake.

You can choose to paint the rest of your nails with snowflakes  but I decided to paint the song 'let it go' on my other hand.

I really like this nail art, it looks hard but it is simple to create.
Do not worry if you do not own a nail art pen or dotting tools, you can easily use objects around the home. For example, the nib of a biro would  be a good dotting tool as well as a toothpick can give you more control when painting your design.
I hope you become inspired to re create this design and I would love to hear back from you, just leave a comment below.

Tangled Nail Art

This nail art design and tutorial is inspired by Tangled and I have used the sun symbol as the main feature of this design because it plays a huge part in the film.

For this nail art design you will need a large and small dotting tool, purple, yellow and gold nail polish. For the nail varnish I used Sally Hansen - good to grape, Avon - sunshine and Barry M - gold.
If you do not have any dotting tools, the end of a biro or toothpick will work just as effectively.

1. First apply a clear base coat to protect your nails, then apply 2 coats of purple or yellow nail varnish.
2. Using a large dotting tool paint a large circle with gold or purple nail varnish. This is the main body of the sun.
3. Using a smaller dotting tool paint the flames, when you place the doting tool on your nail drag the polish to form the flames.
4. Continue to add flames around the sun to complete the design, when you are finished apply a top coat to seal your design and make your sun shine.

Tangled is one of my favourite films and this is one of my favourite nail art designs. For my mani I decided to alternate the colours on each nail to make the design look more colourfull.
At first I struggled with painting the flames but after practice I was able to create some flame shapes with my dotting tool.

I hope I have inspired you to paint your own Disney nail art.

Hello Everyone :)

I know I have been quiet in the last week, this is because I was

creating a new page for my blog - Disney Nail Art Tutorials!!!

You can use Disney to inspire your nail art in many ways and I was greatly inspired to create many nail art designs which are influenced by Disney characters.
I have so many ideas so I thought it would be easier to publish a page sharing my designs and tutorials. I will frequently be posting designs so do not forget to revist the page to see the latest Disney nail art. Do not worry I will still be posting other nail art designs :)

The first tutorial is inspired by the film Tangled, click on the link below to see how it is done.
