Furry Pussy Cat Tutorial

Cats are one of my favourite animals, at the moment I have 4 :) This nail art involves using flocking powder to create a cute furry black cat on your nails and some other design suggestions you can use for the rest of the manicure. For this tutorial I used black
and white nail varnish to make the nail art stand out but you can always use different colours instead.

After applying a base coat to protect your nail, paint 2 coats of white nail varnish

                                 

 Using black nail varnish, paint a large circle at the top of your nail

Paint a smaller circle at the top of the bigger circle with a dotting tool and paint 2 small ears with a toothpick. I had a small dotting tool so I used that instead.

Use your toothpick to paint a curved line at the side of the body to create the tail. Quickly move your toothpick up and down in a 'stippling motion' this way it is easier to control

While the nail varnish is wet dip your nail into your pot of flocking powder. Press your nail firmly and brush away the extra powder. As a result you will have a little black furry cat :) 

You can repeat the process on the rest of your nails or to add variety to your nails you could paint fish skeletons and paw prints. See tutorials below.

Using your toothpick draw a black triangle and a straight line with an arrow, paint three lines

               in the middle to complete the fish skeleton. Apply a top coat to seal your design

                

      

First paint an irregular circle on your nail, then paint 3 smaller circles to complete
the paw print. Apply a top coat to seal your design 

     

                       

If you do not own any dotting tools a toothpick or the tip of a pen works just as effectively. Flocking powder is also not expensive if you shop around you will find it at a good price, I found my flocking powder for just £1.

This design can be re created in various ways. There are other types of cats you could paint on your nails. How about a ginger cat? You could paint a cat using orange nail varnish and add white stripes with a blue background.

Leopard Heart Print Tutorial

Valentines Day is near and this
Leopard Heart manicure is a great way to show off your sexy and wild side.


First apply a basecoat to protect your nail, once it is dry paint 2 coats of pink nail varnish

Using a dotting tool and red nail varnish paint 2 dots close together

Slowly drag down and paint a point to complete the heart

Paint irregular dots on the rest of the nail

Paint 'C' shapes around the heart and dots with a dotting tool and black nail varnish to complete the leopard print. Apply a top coat to seal your design

Paint the leopard print on the side and top of your other nails

 



This is one of my favourite nail art designs

and it makes your nails look amazing. This design is very easy to paint and it will leave your nails looking sexy and wild for Valentines Day.

My First Tutorial - Rainbow Spirals

Here it is my first nail art tutorial - Rainbow Spirals :)

Step 1 - First apply a base coat to protect your nails.

Step 2 - Paint each of your nails with red, yellow, green, blue and purple nail varnish.

Step 3 - Paint a dot at the centre of your nail, this will be your guide.

Step 4 - Using a black stripper draw two curved lines, repeat three more times to create a propeller on your nail. If you do not have a stripper you can use a thin brush dipped in black nail varnish.

Step 5 - Paint a black curved line in between each propeller.

Step 6 - Finish your nail with a top coat or quickly add a gem in the middle of the nail before the top coat dries.

Here is the finished result :)



I am very pleased with this design. It is colourful and very effective, I can't stop staring at my own nails!!! The best part is that it is very simple to make.
