Daisy Nails

This nail art design is very simple to recreate and it gives your nails a summer look which is especially needed at this time of the year. The multi coloured stripes add variety to the manicure and if you choose to you can use this tutorial to inspire you to create many other flower designs of your own.

Painting the Daisy pattern is very simple, all you need is a dotting tool. If you do not own a dotting tool you can use the nib of a brio or a toothpick.

First apply a clear base coat to protect your natural nails, then paint your nail with your chosen background colour. For this design I used pastel colours to create the summer feeling. Using your dotting tool dipped in white nail varnish paint 5 dots to create the petals. For the centre of the flower add a yellow dot using your dotting tool. Once dry apply a top coat to seal your design.

To add variety to your manicure you can paint a stripe pattern on your accent nail. Again it is very easy to do, all you need in a thin brush and nail varnish.

First apply a clear base coat to protect your natural nail, then paint your nail with your chosen pastel colour. Using a thin brush and white nail varnish paint 3 lines up to two thirds of your nail. Repeat this step several times with other pastel colours. Once dry apply a top coat to seal your design and if you have made some mistakes the top coat makes the colours blend therefore covering your mistakes.

I really like this design it is very easy to do and the little daisy pattern makes your nails look really cute! As a nail artist the skill to creating flowers is a must have. If you are not a fan of painting your nails you could use gem stones instead.

I hope I have inspired you to try out your own flower nail art designs and I would love to see your own recreations. Please comment if you have any questions and you can follow me on Instagram @queenrock75 for other nail art manicures.
